A lot of divers, specially underwater photographers have the same problem as I had. The big and heavy laptop for viewing pictures, doing emails and stuff like that.
I would have love to buy a Lenovo X300 laptop, but it is way to expensive, and a Mac Air does not have ethernet port, and way to few USB ports.
The solution for me was to get an MSI Wind U100 Notebook.
It only weighs 1.1 Kg with a 3 cell battery, has a nice 10″ screen, with a resolution of 1024*600. Of course that is no good for actual photoshopping, but for a preview of the pictures is good enough.
The first test, was last week when I was on the PADI IDC Staff Instructor course at Divewise on Malta. It worked perfectly, good for viewing movies in the plane, good for the instructor manual, and surfing as well.
So if you need a computer for traveling, i would surely suggest you get one of these.

Hi Christian
Trust me you wont regret it, it is specially nice, if you wanna do a little work while traveling, by plane, train car (off course not while driving).
Or just as I do now, writing back to you, while watching Mythbuster in my living room.
Have fun
Søren
